Execution: JAB handled the large scope of work from project initiation through execution and final document submittal.  JAB provided structural and facilities engineering, project management, fabrication, offshore installation, logistics support. Due to the schedule requirements of the operator there was no float in the schedule. To meet the demand of the schedule equipment and supplies were sourced from around the world and shipped to Malaysia where it was received and transported to the work site.  It was imperative the jacket and deck depart Amelia, La. on June 14, 2012. The transport to Malaysia required a 180 tonne bollard pull tug towing a 300’x100’ deck barge loaded with over 1500 stons of equipment. The equipment arrive Malaysia on time and only suffered minor damage during the 75 day tow.  The offshore installation spread arrived on time and began the installation campaign. The project was completed without incident. The client was please as the project was completed on time and caused no delay to the drilling schedule. First oil was achieved in record time.

The project was completed without incident. The client was delayed in permit approval, which delayed offshore mobilization, however the project was complete on time.

JAB worked with BOEMRE, Corps of Engineers, Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, and Texas Parks and Wildlife to permit for platform removals, conductor P&As and jacket reefs. The initial mobilization was during April 2010 with all work be completed by September 15, 2010.

Results

The project was executed without incident to personnel, the environment or equipment.

Execution: The project was handled by JAB from project initiation through execution and final document submittal.  JAB permitted, planned and executed the project on time and on budget. JAB worked with BOEMRE, Corps of Engineers and Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries to permit for platform removal, conductor P&A and reef. JAB removed the deck and conductors and transported to shore for disposal. The lower section of jacket was reef in place and the upper section was towed approximately 18 miles to a reef site. It was set on bottom and toppled.
